About Peter Greig

Mix salt of the earth with cream of the crop and out comes Peter Greig. This creative jack in the box is an internationally recognised photographer and filmmaker, with a fierce reputation for capturing exciting and moving imagery.

From growing up in a small remote village in outback Australia, to his current home in Sydney, Peter’s relentless passion for creativity has taken him to the four corners of the globe – with his raw creative talent and astute strategic mind gaining him an admirable reputation in the industry in the shortest amount of time.

He has been commissioned by clients such as Commonwealth Bank, Nike, Garmin and Canon – the later of which own a specially commissioned collection of Peter’s images, on display in their new Sydney showroom. Some of his work for Garmin’s Outdoor range can be seen here.

Recently, Peter completed a 12-month residency with Sydney Dance Company which saw him produce his debut short film, backed up by a prolific amount of multimedia content including an online series of documentary episodes on the artistic creation process. During the residency, Peter was invited to lecture and host a workshop at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum in a seminar run by genart_sys, as part of Australia Council’s Arts Digital Era program.

Peter is also part of the Kili20twelve team, a non-profit organisation working on a major campaign to climb and fly off the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in 2012. The aim of the project is to raise funds for the key areas of Health, Environment and Education, in support of local Tanzanian charities as well as global aid organisations. More information on this great cause can be found here.
